Every year the Chalmers family and From Sunday Winemakers collaborate to produce a charity wine that aims to give back and show their appreciation for the communities and people that support their businesses.

They channel their abilities into altruistic pathways by making wine that can raise awareness and funds for those in need. This inaugural project donates all of the proceeds to a charity that resonates with the families producing the wine.

The profits of this wine go toward the Central Coast Kids In Need, a charity that provides financial assistance to families of seriously ill children who are required to travel for medical treatment. By purchasing this wine, you are helping support this volunteer based charity. http://cckin.com.au/

The project embodies the values of the individuals behind this wine. It's fun, it's delicious, it brings people and community together. Play your part in supporting this collaboration that endeavours to enrich lives, and assist so many others.

The Sunday Project Nero d'Avola Rosé

Nero d'Avola from the Chalmers' family Merbein vineyard in the Murray Darling region of Victoria. The vines grow on a combination of limestone and red sandy loam soil at an elevation of 60m, were sustainable vineyard practices are used.

100% Nero d'Avola grapes were hand-picked, chilled over night and whole bunch pressed. Wild primary fermentation occurred and the resulting wine was racked leaving some solids to promote texture. A slow press allowed for a very pretty colour extraction, with no extra time on skins.

Full vinification occurred in stainless to retain clarity of fruit and vibrancy for 25 days with minimal intervention; no stirring and zero malolactic fermentation occurred. The wine was then racked again before going to bottle.
